This is my favorite time of year. In addition to the particular calm and coolness in the air, the majesty and melancholy of autumn leaves changing and falling, there is an unusual peppering of scribbles and notes and little hearts in various squares on the calendar that hangs in the kitchen. A series of dates and events and celebrations. A month of mischief and merriment. And milestones.

The cobwebs are being collected and the spooky halloween decorations are disappearing in the neighborhood, signaling the holiday season ahead. My older daughter, Ellery, hasn't let go yet - still experimenting with different costume combinations this morning. A near meltdown when she couldn't find her magic wand earlier. She slumped to the floor in agony, dispirited: "Now I won't be able turn nobody into nothing... ".

She turns four in a month. She has requested a rainbow narwhal. A "real one". My brother and several good friends will also celebrate birthdays in the next few weeks too. Max turns 50 at the end of the month (hooray!). And our little wine shop turns 5 next weekend... and we're having a party next Saturday, NOVEMBER 13th, from 12-5! And as I reflect on birthdays (and though I've playfully called it our birthday in the past), the more I think on it, this is decidedly an anniversary party. A celebration of a relationship, one that you are a part of. We are grateful for this union. Thank you for the daily support, for choosing us, for being in this together, through all the seasons and milestones of the past five years. Thank you for making this space something greater and grand and meaningful. Thanks for making us an us. We're still committed to you. And we hope we still bring you delight and are worthy partners. Here's to the collective us. To five years together, and to many more good years ahead. Happy Anniversary.

The 5 Year Anniversary Celebration and Artisan Flea Market event is FREE! So spread the good word! Our love is not selfish, bring all your favorite people too! Bring your (other) partners. Bring your ex. Bring birthday boys and girls. Bring wands. Bring a rainbow narwhal. Tasty treats from Tacos Sincero and Joodooboo! Vendors and artists include The Plant Queen, C.A. Vintage (jewelry), Caviar & Cigarettes Vintage (clothing), Alex Steele (clothing/accessories), Kitten Claw Vintage, Pablo Cristi (original artwork/prints) WestWind Succulents & PlantHouse (arrangements), The Leopard Lodge (jewelry), Pleinware Ceramics, and Flower & Forage (bouquets)! There will, of course, be bubbles... and plenty of wine - an outdoor beer and wine garden along with raffles and prizes and music and fun. See you there!

All love,
Daniel
